Parish Footpaths

The Parish Council needs your help to look after our footpaths!

'Adopt a Footpath' Scheme

Most people will realise that currently Herefordshire Council is short of money and that maintaining our footpaths is understandably low down on their priority lists.

At Janet Potter’s suggestion, the Parish Council agreed that anybody who is interested could choose to adopt a path in our Parish and when walking it should trim back any overgrowth, especially in and around the area of the stiles. Also to report any significant problems to the Footpaths Officer or the Parish Council.

To adopt a path (or part of a path if you don’t want to take on a whole length) click on FOOTPATH MAP, identify which path you would like to choose and check against the list of paths which are still available for adoption (see below). The paths are all numbered. Then contact Janet 01452 830556 or EMAIL, who will co-ordinate it all. A list of footpaths and their 'adopters' can be seen at FOOTPATH LIST

It is appreciated that some of the paths are very overgrown and some practically impassable but it is hoped that now the scheme is working some of the problems can be tackled.
